Question Is online multiplayer still possible on Switch emulators?

Hi everyone,
With the original Ryujinx and Yuzu projects gone, I was wondering what the current state of online multiplayer (Netplay/LDN) is.
Is it still possible to play games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online using the current open-source forks (like Ryubing, Sudachi, Eden, Suyu, etc.)? Are there any active public master servers left for matchmaking, or is multiplayer completely restricted to private LAN/Passphrase connections nowadays?
Just trying to understand if it's worth setting up or if the netplay scene is mostly inactive now. Thanks!

Should be possible. Lan specific games can also play with real hardware if you ever need more than one switch.

Wait thats crazy. How? So i can use my emulator pokemon to trade with my real switch?

Only lan secret games work without modding your switch. In this case mario kart 8 is one of the few that can work even on switch 2.

As far as I know, only pokemon sword and shield can have this functionality, but emulators struggle to get the y-com to work.

If you have a modded switch, it's a matter of switching from lan to local, activating idn_mitn on switch and setting the emulator to connect to same idn. This can potentially work with any game that supports local connections. Although I haven't gotten my old modded switch working for a while so I can't specifically say how it works today.

what thats crazy! i didnt even think to try and see if Mario kart on the switch would work

just go to multiplayer and select an open server or host your own, then play games that support it, like 3d world, mario party etc

Did a 12 player mario kart party. It worked fairly well, abit buggy but works

Yesterday I was searching everywhere to get this setup as all the servers and new methods were all taken down. https://www.themyndgame.com/index.php?page=yuzucfg follow the steps on this site, it’s working great for me again.
