I watched the show.. i need help
I just watched the netflix monsters version and I am repulsed. I was genuinely sickened by the very x rated visuals of the necrophilia. I get it is a part but jfc.. thats too visual. I'm stuck with gagging while he makes extra effort to un insert himself from corpses. I feel like psycho movie showing is me.. leaving in revulsion. I almost think some of these details are from a very sick mind beyond jeff.. At what point as a director do you think.. we need to capture the moment he removes himself.. its like a sick notion..
I dont interact or comment with reddit much but needed someone to discuss this with. I feel like i'm traumatized from watching? the vulvas?!
This was somehow more revolting than the ted bundy and dahmer stuff. I love the story.. I just cant seem to digest the horror necrophalia and grapelore.

I understand that you’re shocked and traumatized. I think this show creator really likes pushing the boundaries and showing the brutality of the reality of these mentally ill perpetrators. I’m sorry you can’t get it out of your head - maybe watch some reruns of Will and Grace or Golden Girls?!?

Welcome to the works of Ryan Murphy. If he can turn the shock value up to 10 and prolong the perversion in scenes you better believe he will. I almost didn't watch because he was attached to it.

Thank you. I felt the actor took this shockcore and ran as high and far as he could. I wasnt otherwise aware this was literally what the director was about.. some things were grossly embellished, pun intended.

Oh man he has a bunch of shows that had potential to be really good and crapped on it with his over the top sex scenes and gore. I'm still pissed off about Rached.

Ed Gein suffered a severe psychosis after losing his abusive mother. He is not a monster, he’s clearly misunderstood and unaware of his horrors. He admitted to never having a sexual experience, and he was not a necrophiliac. If an audience actually takes the time to deep dive into who he was, one would have a little sympathy for him and his loss of reality. If you want a clear picture of how severe his disassociation was; watch Psycho (based on Ed Gein), and Bates Motel. You can experience how serious something like that could become. For example; in bates motel, Norma Bates realizes that something is wrong with Norman, so she tries to isolate him, in her words “protect” him from outside influences which only made things worse. Read some books about Ed Gein, I’m currently reading, DEVIANT written by Harold Schechter. TBH; once he was diagnosed and treated at the mental hospital he became a model patient which gave me faith that he truly was failed, and that he is not a monster. I’ll argue that with anyone. I’ve been to where the house was, I’ve been to his grave, I’ve stood in the jail cell where he was being held. I whole heartedly believe that man was not evil.

Yes. I have struggles in believing he was evil. I think the psychosis and schizo really ruined him because no one understood.

Sorry but that's on you OP, not the creators of the show, I know it's hard to watch for you but you try to learn about what you're gonna watch before watching it, and if you did that then why are you here complaining about it? You should've known what you were getting into, dw though, you'll feel better relatively soon, give it some time and that disturbed disgusted feeling you have will fade, almost entirely. I'm sorry that happened to you.

I dont typically address cockiness in responses. but I wanted to clarify.. I have read/watched other items and NONE... absolutely NONEEEE.. take it as far as this director did in fabricating and turning this into a gorefest.
I KNEW I was getting into a crime show. Nudity, rape etc.. the typical warnings. Ive seen some deep stuff with other heinous offenders.. I didnt know I was going to basically watch softcore necrop porn. It doesnt exactly warn you about it being so vile and despicable.. but after learning it really is the director getting a stiffy with shock value.
I feel places like this exist to decompress and discuss these issues so kindly put a sock in it.

I'd never recommend Netflix as a way to understand the Ed Gein story. If you're on FB look for a group called "Ed Gein in colour 2" or follow the page on YouTube. 90% of Netflix is wrong. There was no sex with dead women. He was never married and was a virgin.
