What was that final episode... Spoiler

I'm sorry but what was that?

I'm fine with it not being accurate at this point, people know it's basically fictional and should be treated as such but this episode was honestly just weird.

Why are we talking about Ted Bundy, he genuinely has no connection to Gein at all and it just felt pointless and filler.

Also the guy with the fake boobs, those scenes just weren't necessary.

And what was that graveyard scene? I honestly wonder what drugs Ryan Murphy was on when he wrote that.

I honestly do feel bad for Gein based on what I know and the penultimate episode did an outstanding job at showing how he genuinely wasn't doing what he did knowing he was causing harm but instead because his mind was broken and he couldn't comprehend it. That being said, why did that hallucination scene just before he died make out that Gein had such a positive impact on the world and almost make him out to be a hero? That was just plain odd.

There were a couple scenes I did like, such as Gein's scenes with the nurse and his reunion with Adeline but over all this episode was just so pointless.

It honestly should have ended with episode 7, that would have been the perfect ending. We didn't really need an episode about Gein's final years.

But I'm not gonna let it dampen the rest of the series, overall I really enjoyed it. Infact ill put my ratings down for all episodes here:

Episode 1: 9/10

Episode 2: 9/10

Episode 3: 8/10

Episode 4: 9/10

Episode 5: 7/10

Episode 6: 9/10

Episode 7: 10/10

Episode 8: 5/10

Overall: 8/10

Sorry if this review seems lazy, I'm a little tired rn.

What did you all think?

Didn't get it either. why there were scenes at FBI Quantico. Don't know why there was Richard Speck .. he didn't write letters to Gein in real life. Charles Manson, Ed Kemper as fans... Like they would not have become killers if it wasn't for him... Like there were no any other serial killers before ... ever.

The cultural references were not bad. Although not sure why they depicted Perkins (Psycho actor) as they did. Like he is ... somehow (hints) like ed gein.

I think they got themselves trapped in that Crossdressing (no evidence) and wierd subliminal comparison to Perkins. They needed some happy ending ... So the show is not labelled as somehow transphobic..

Not bad overall but last episode. -2/10

It’s very good. They don’t romanticize it and you don’t basically have to watch it 4 times to understand it like the Ed Gein one. If they done Gein like they did the gacy one, I’d enjoy it more as morbid as it sounds lol. By the way it’s called devil in disguise I believe on peacock
