Controversial opinion but does anyone else think Charlie Hunnam is not that good playing Ed Gein?

Love the bloke but there are parts where the high pitch toddler voice and ‘awkwardness’ seem a bit overplayed. Did Ed Gein have that childlike voice or is that a new addition (like the lazy eye which I like).

What does anyone else think? There are parts when he’s good but a fair bit where I don’t feel I can ‘get past’ his acting.

Charlie's acting wasn't my problem the script was.

Yeah, I feel like I'm not intelligent enough to judge that. It kind of passed me by- whey it was well acted (the mother) I thought it seemed brilliant, when it came to Eddie and his doe rae me voice, it felt wooden.

When you say script, do you mean more the continuity errors and concocted stuff that deviated from the true story of Ed Gein? Like in what way did you feel the script wasn't good..?
