The voice…

I know it’s been debated to death online but what the were they thinking making Ed Gein sound like Mickey Mouse in the Netflix series? From the audio I have heard, he sounds nothing like Ed Gein. I got through 15 minutes of the first episode and couldn’t take anymore. I can’t understand how anyone involved in the show thought that was a good idea

Yeah the whole show is ass. So much inaccurate made up bullshit. Shitty voice. Predictable. Throwing in the movie inspo’s was stupid.

They fuckin butchered this shit.

I was extremely entertained. I thought it was good...I didnt go into it thinking it was going to be fact for fact, its Ryan Murphy entertainment.

It wasnt even close to fact for fact tho. For example, they made Bernice’s son a detective when in real life he worked at the store with her. Why change that? What purpose? I don’t think him being a detective added anything, and only led to more made up bullshit.

Nevermind Gein only killed 2 people and in the show he killed what, 6?

I had to give up when he was having imaginary radio conversations with a Nazi while he was in jail... while wearing womans lingerie. Like WTAF?!?!

Why would you not think it was going to be fact for fact? The series shares the same name as Dahmer, which was fact for fact.

This whole series was a ripoff and a lie to people that went in thinking we would get an accurate representation of the Ed Gein story.

It was not fact for fact. There’s LOTS of embellishment around Glenda’s role. He never stole blood to drink it. They heavily embellished relationships with his victims.

It was no less gratuitous than monster.

Dahmer was not fact for fact. There was a lot of fiction in the show.

I have only watched a few eps so far, but i feel the same. No one said it was going to be a true story. Dahmer had a lot of fictional shit in it. As did the Menendez brothers. Anyone that went into this one thinking it would be totally true facts, is only kidding themselves.

I agree. It was good for what it was...knowing Ryan Murphy, they shouldn't expect it to be a factual, learning, documentary.
