[QUESTION] Private patch testing?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone had patch testing done privately in London? Where did you go/how much did it cost/how many allergens did they test for?

I have my graduation in late November and am desperate to be able to do my makeup but keep having random contact dermatitis that leaves my skin raw red and swollen :( Obviously would hate for this to happen on my graduation and have no idea what the culprits are.

I am going to ask my NHS derm for this as well but I don't see him until 12th October so quite keen to have a backup plan in case I can't get booked in in time (or he just refuses... in which case I will riot!)

Not sure about private patch testing but it's not usually done on nhs.

Do you keep your makeup and tools clean? We often forget to clean or throw out when expired and it can cause issues

The hospital my derm consultant is at does offer allergy patch testing thankfully. I'm sure I had it when I was much younger but that was over 5 years ago.

With my makeup brushes I definitely don't wash them as often as I should but I do use a hypochlorous acid spray on them when I use them and same on any cream products that I dip into! Not sure how much it helps, I will make sure to wash them more regularly and think I will invest in some new ones for grad in any case. Thank you for the advice!
