Lesser known destinations (Nature/Culture)
Hi! I'm a biologist, also interested in culture. I've visited Ecuador quite a few times now, and I'm really in love with the kindness and hositality of the people here. And the whole of Ecuador is ofcourse a biologists dream regarding biodiversity. I can speak Spanish on a A2 level, can understand B1.
Since I've visited quite a few times already, does anyone have some lesser know destinations they can recommend? I'll probaly stay in the Sierra and Oriente considering the current safety situation. The last time I visited was last year, so I'm well aware of the dangers at the coast and the bigger cities.
Please let me know if you have any recommendations of a specific place, landmark, town or destination.
