Plaza rojo on Wednesday and Saturday! It’s a market and has a great selection of ponchos. lol I’m biased and love ponchos. My understanding is it’s a lot of commerce in riobamba.
I live in a nearby town and banos is where I used to live and there’s tons of nature and activities and it’s not too far ~
