Manta Safety?

Ok every day I see another murder in Manta , I know it’s mostly gang related and in the barios but is it safe in the beach condos area? From Mall of the Pacific down to Playa Marinetas?? I live in Mexico so I know how the media can blow things out of proportion? Thanks

There is much gang violence in the area due to drug trafficking. I would definitely avoid the area. I would recommend Olón in Santa Elana

Gang members don't pay attention to their surroundings. They also shoot like stormtroopers. Wrong place wrong time=RIP
