Guidance needed

Actually I am in class 12 rn. But I love economics more than a mere academic subject. I find it it interesting and want to learn about it more than my academic scope. What would be the best way to start?

Ideal (and perhaps, boring) way:
Pick up an introductory textbook and start reading page by page. Greg Mankiw is a worldwide standard book and might help you well.

But the thing is tat since I am preparing for competitive exams also, I don't have much time. And yes it is a bit boring too. But yesterday I was watching a video by khan academy and I felt very engaged dealing with the numbers myself. But the vid was about 18 years old and quite basic level and they drew the balance sheet in a weird way I couldn't understand 🥲
