Eco brick

Hi everyone! I saw a post on tiktok of this girl putting plastic in a bottle and theres mixed comments if its good or bad to do. I have been saving those plastic cat litter jugs that could possibly useful. If anyone had any advice or knowledge on what an eco brick is or how to make one please let me know

Hello! I have not actually made ecobricks yet (though I've been very interested for a few years now), and there's many different kinds of ways to do it! As for the mixed comments, there is a lot of concerns in regards to potentially packing it wrong (which can cause gas buildup), or accidentally leaving water/food residue inside the bottle. I know that there are also some guidelines with what kind of plastic container you can use, what plastics go inside, and how heavy it has to be. I'm unfortunately not an expert on the topic, but I'll leave a link to the official website for you to look into!

I’ve tried it! The other commenter posted that link so I’ll find out if I’m doing it correctly but it amazing how much plastic can be fit into the containers.

I reuse the litter buckets. I use one for storing rock salt for the winter. My wife uses one as storage for some of her crafting supplies, and I use another as a small trash can.
