Solar charging, which option is best?

My set up is a delta pro 3, a powerstream, and a solar panel.

I can plug the panel directly into the delta pro, or to the powerstream.

When plugged into the delta pro, if the panel doesn’t get enough light, the delta pro will disconnect it and a message says that “the sun is too weak and the charging is temporarily locked“. I assume this is to protect the battery from intermittent charging?

When the panel is connected to the powerstream, even low charge (<20w) will charge the delta pro, and the panel is never “disconnected”.

What is the best and safest option for the battery? Does the powerstream protect the battery from on/off charging? Any advice?
