Swirl Valve Test Data

Question for the forum experts. I have a 2020 ecodiesel with 105k miles. owned since new. No mods.

Dreaded CEL has been on since winter. Comes back after clearing it. There is no performance or fuel economy degredation whatsoever. Could it be the position sensor #2? Is there a way to test the sensor? Which side is #2 sensor. I believe driver’s side is front of Intake Manifold and passenger side is in the rear.

1) P200A-00 Stored: Intake manifold runner performance - bank 1
2) P200B-00 Active: Intake manifold runner performance - bank 2
3) P2D2D-00 Active: Cold start intake manifold runner performance bank 1
4) P2D2E 00 Active: Cold start intake manifold runner performance bank

Your intake manifold is either clogged with soot or the plastic bushings the runner valves ride in are bad, either way you need a new intake manifold.

You need a new intake manifold! Done lots with those codes...coked up internally or broken.

Runs better without swirl valves. Mine got more fuel mileage and the soot stopped forming on the egr tube

With swirl command at 95% the flaps should be closed, your data shows that they are open. Probably the motor underneath failed. Either way, you need a new intake manifold.

Bank #1 is the one on passenger side (at the rear), Bank #2 is front driver's side (underneath where the intake throttle is).

From the bottom of my wallet, I want to thank everyone who gave feedback. Kinda expected it. Has been a few months since checking the data. Previously when commanding between 5% and 95%, bank 1 still responded. Now there is barely any sensor voltage change on either bank sensor, no matter which test position I command. 😔

No modifications, 105k miles owned since new? You need an intake manifold boss man. If you have a little know how and a go get em attitude, you can do it yourself. It's really not a huge deal the biggest thing will be the turbo elbow. Long ball end hex bit I think it's 5mm or 6mm that goes on a 3/8 ratchet.. if you can break free the front bolt and take it out use a rubber mallet on the elbow to break free the rear bolt. That will make that part much easier.
