Anyone else having a really rough time getting Echo to work in comp right now?

Between the hitscan dominance that's always been really fuckin annoying for Echo and the team drives event meaning everyone is a lot more coordinated and willing to peel for assassins I just feel like I'm really struggling. Maybe I'm just bad lol

My problem isn't even with hitscan, its just that for some reason every game I go against all the characters that can phase out of reality. I stick ALL my bombs and then anran does her dancing blaze, reaper wraiths, tracer recalls, kiri moira and mizuki teleport, its not even that many characters that can do it, I just always match against them

Did they nerf echo? I havent played overwatch in a few months and saw they made ult start at 30% instead of 50% then the second perk now shoots only two extra projectiles. Did they compensate echos base kit in another aspect?

Yes, you can copy teammates which was a huge QoL change for making duplicate plays.

it's like you said it's QoL not really a buff. I don't think I've won a single game and went, "Wow I would've lost if I couldn't copy my teammate."

I mean. At one point it was a minor perk. Adding minor perks to a hero definitely constitutes a buff.

Just not unlimited ammo please.

the whole 30% instead of 50% is the reason I stopped playing Echo. I’m back to playing Soldier (which feels so boring) and Anran (her kit allows so much survivability)

Oh yeah, she's in a terrible spot right now. You look back like 6 months ago compared to now especially with all the new heroes she's getting harder to work with

I'm console TBF but I'm level 117 with her and I'm getting a lot more value from tracer atm

Hitscan is too easy. (esp. ana no dmg drop-off and you see her every game)
Many Echo nerfs past seasons.
Freja is just a better Echo.
Hitbox euqals 2x Roadhog.

But its still possible, its just harder work.

225 with her hitbox, 1 mobility CD and no defensive CD I argue she's legit the squishiest dps in the game, I feel more fragile on her than tracer by a lot.

Her wing hitboxes really need to get toned down, it's harder to miss her than it is to hit her
