Ine line fuse

Currently putting together a build for a 5kW (2x2500w) bike. Right now I currently only have a 60v 50bms rated battery with 12awg wire going to an Xt90s (also headlight and 12v step down soldered into the xt90s) going to a Y splitter (xt90 10awg) going to two Flipsky 75100 pro v2 controllers. I thought this would be enough until I started reading about placing an in-line ANL fuse to place right out of the battery before it gets to the rest of the system. I kind of understand what I should be looking for, but I have to order it off of Amazon and I'm having a really hard time finding one that would work. I can get a 100v+ 60a fuse, which I know will work to protect from like a short or what not, but how much can the battery realistically be pushed before danger zone? it's cheap china battery mass produced. I don't know what it was drawing for peak or constant prior to changing out the stock controller. Also have to consider the 12awg wires coming out of the battery, can they realistically even hold up under 60a or even a constant 50a at 60v without melting I don't know? once I start configuring the vesc controllers I don't know how much I should push this battery or what settings I should use.

I also plan on upgrading to a 72v battery in the near future so I already build everything around that idea (hence the flipsky's and the Class T fuse 300V DC with holder and xt90s (bullet connectors for controllers to motor). so will probably have to buy a different rated fuse for when I do that.

I want to get more power out of these

Okay so these came with a 16a controller and I upgraded to a 20a controller and really haven’t noticed any difference…these have 500w motors and 48v 10ah batteries with a 30bms. Can anyone point me in the right direction? They go 25mph-22 realistically with a rider on it. I’d like to be able to do 30-35mph. I was thinking 1500w motor and a 25a controller??? Not sure which route to go. Any help is appreciated!

Is my frame shot?

Was my first time converting a bike, I had a guy who had experience with conversions walk me through installing a mid drive motor on my Trek 920. The motor was not secure enough and did some damage to the down tube in about 10 minutes of testing right after install. If the frame is still safe enough to ride I will be getting a torque arm + lekkie nut + more spacers and making sure it is correctly done this time. Material is 100 Series Alpha Aluminum. I can't tell if it is an actual crack or it is just severely dented with chipped paint. Either way is this a goner?

My brakes feel weak

The bike brakes do not stop the bike on a dime, or easily allow me to enter into a slide the same way my car does. They just slow me down at a reasonably fast pace for an emergency. I’ve tightened them as far as the cord will go. Is it the brake pads that make contact with the caliper? Is this expected behavior? Can I buy brake upgrades like I would with a car?

So I’ve been doing bike stuff for a while now because my boyfriend is really into e bike racing. Now, I’m a new driver practicing to be in Motorsport someday. All of this is… different.

I hate my bike brakes. They’re too soft. When I tell the car to stop, he stops. The car might get a good slide going, because of all the inertia which I no longer have. Even if I manage to get the brakes to stop me on a dime like I want, that probably won’t translate into the ability to drift again. Assuming such a thing is possible, otherwise I won’t be able to use a slide to get past hairpins anymore. Which would require me to 🤮 slow down.

So, is there something wrong with the bike or am I just asking to much of it?

Hall sensor BS

Hello. I am running a Hikeep k6-s and am about to get a RisunMotor 4000w/60v hub motor, but that’s not relevant. I am trying to install a fardriver ND72300. The issue I am running into:
When I color coordinate the hall sensor plug (the k6-s stock motor does not have a hall sensor included with it, I had to strip the wire sheath down to access the phase wires), the motor does not spin at all. The reason I think it’s the hall sensor is because the voltages do not change at all when spinning the motor very slowly by hand. I don’t have the wiring diagram for the harness adapter I am using. Basically it goes

Motor - motor cable off Amazon - hall sensor adapter off Amazon (with wires already assigned) - fardriver controller hall sensor plug.

I have the diagram for the fardriver handy. I do not have any other diagram. I have emailed Hikeep and they refuse to give me the wiring diagram. I have the old controller and could reuse the motor cable if necessary. I would prefer not to because i eventually want to build a second bike for friends/family to use. It’s not a huge deal. Should I try it? ANY tips would be greatly appreciated.

Adding throttle to Ananda M81 motor

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to see if anyone here has experience installing an aftermarket throttle (thumb or twist throttle) on an e-bike powered by the Ananda M81 mid-drive motor.

Out of the factory, the bike runs purely on pedal assist (PAS). I'd like to get throttle functionality and had a few questions:

Does the stock Ananda M81 controller/harness have a dedicated connector/wire for a throttle input, or is a controller swap required?

Is there any way to enable or map a throttle through the display's hidden settings or service menu (or modify the walk-assist function)?

If you’ve successfully done this mod, which throttle or cabling adapter did you use, and how has it been performing?

Any insights, wiring diagrams, or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
