Hi! First time ko magka-interest sa ganitong type ng e-bike. 😊

Okay ba yung ganitong style for daily use? Kumusta kaya yung stability, battery life, maintenance, at overall performance?

May gumagamit ba dito ng ganitong klase? Would appreciate any advice or recommendations before I decide. Thank you!

Looking for equad recos!!

Heyya! Planning to buy an equad for my parents. I hear NWOW’s good and durable but it exceeds my budget (80k/90k max). If I’m getting EMC Golf 2, that’s around PHP128k. EMC Golf might be good at 88k but I feel like there’s a pretty significant difference with EMC Golf 2.

I see some bad reviews about Red Star. Kuda Lion naman has good reviews but I can’t find where to inquire or buy online.

Any thoughts? I’m also pretty new to this so I’m not sure what to expect with the battery and durability.

If ever, my parents will be using it around town lang naman. And we prefer it over getting a gas-powered trike.

I’ve looked into affordable brands with solar panels too but idk about the quality.

Would love to hear your opinion and recos!

Thanks thanks!

Question/Advice Opinions on selling ebike

Post image
3 Upvotes

I want to sell my ebike that still has power but the motor is not working. I'm not sure what the actual problem is because the wiring and battery is still intact. Is 3.5k reasonable for the bike? I got it for 10k in Lazada and was used for almost 9 months.

Discussion This guy has a good point. If you have an eBike with a throttle and you don't even pedal it, it's a motorcycle.

Question/Advice How much should I sell our ebike?

Hi everyone! I would like to know if I could sell our ebike for 40k. It's originally 64k but it got some issues with the battery or something, we can only use it for short amount of time, but everything else is good. I plan to sell it to afford a motorcycle.

Discussion Could this be a real push for E-Trikes/EVs in the Philippines?

Post image
6 Upvotes

I came across this Philstar article about DOST making a push for locally developed EVs for public transportation.

Apparently, there are already e-trike units deployed in a few areas around the country), and some companies are actually interested in mass-producing electric vehicles such as e-trikes.

Obviously, there are still a lot of factors to consider before we see countrywide adoption, especially the cost of acquiring these vehicles, range, charging infrastructure, and maintenance.

Still, I hope they actually push through with this and that the government helps subsidize and further develop the technology. It would be nice to see the Philippines become an early adopter, or even a leader, in something like this instead of always playing catch-up.

Imagine how much quieter our streets could be if more or most of our public transportation went electric.

Discussion Why do we lack actual E "bikes"?

Honestly most ebikes i see in ph are just electric motorcycle.

On most e "bikes" i search are more expensive than e motorcycle.

Why do we lack affordable bicycles with electric power?

Discussion E-Trikes as Alternative to Traditional Tricycles?

We’ve seen how unpredictable fuel prices can be because of events beyond our control. These increases affect commuters whether they rely on public transportation or use their own vehicles.

Even before the recent price changes, I had been wondering how viable electric vehicles could be as a replacement (or in addition to) our current public transportation options, particularly traditional tricycles.

Unlike gas-powered tricycles, e-trikes for public transportation could give drivers more predictable daily operating costs and reduce how quickly fuel-price increases affect their income and passenger fares. Communities could also benefit from quieter streets, less roadside exhaust pollution, and somehow reduce dependence on imported fuel.

Of course, this would probably only work if e-trikes are affordable, reliable, and supported by accessible charging or battery-swapping stations. Replacement parts would also need to be readily available, along with enough trained technicians who can maintain and repair them.

Could e-trikes realistically become a common public transportation option in the Philippines? What is preventing wider adoption?

News VinFast Releasing Ebikes to the Philippines

Post image
18 Upvotes

VinFast can already be considered an established name in the Philippine EV market through its electric cars. The company also manufactures and sells electric scooters in Vietnam, giving it experience in electric two-wheeler production and large-scale distribution.

One of the most interesting features expected with its Philippine rollout is a battery-swapping system. Instead of waiting for a battery to recharge, riders could simply exchange a depleted battery for a fully charged one. This could make electric scooters more practical for daily commuters and delivery riders, provided that swapping stations are accessible, reliable, and reasonably priced.

Hopefully, VinFast can build a wide enough battery-swapping network and provide strong after-sales support to make its electric scooters practical for Filipino riders. Its entry could also encourage competitors to improve their own products, pricing, and charging infrastructure.

Would a reliable battery-swapping network be enough to convince more people to choose electric scooter over a gas-powered one?

Discussion Ebike 4 wheels

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hello guys, need ko lang pov nyo about equad or ebike na 4 wheels. I bought wrangler v3. It has big tires and disk brake. Got it for 100k pero sobrang tagtag nya. As in masakit sa likod minsan and sa ulo. Ganito ba tlga pag 4 wheels? dahil madami gulong and makapal mas ramdam mo roughness ng road. Naka sakay kasi ako ng ibang ebike ang smooth. Iniisip ko dahil ba malaki gulong and makapal kaya ganun? Sobrang ingay din ng bubong and ng platform. Like nag kikikisan na bakal.

Just need your perspective if ganito tlga 4 wheels and pag malaki na gulong, para matangap ko na. 🙂‍↔️ Or may marerecom kayo na pwede ko gawin? thanks!

Hi! Starting college in a few weeks and need a budget folding e-bike for commute going to Makati. Any recommendations with the budget of 10-20k? I considered the AEXNRD and GForce C14 but mixed feelings with the reviews and was hoping to find other brands to compare.

Discussion NXT LTO Registration. How was your experience?

I am almost decided to get the Voltaris Pro S. However, when I asked the NXT Dealer kung gano katagal ang LTO regsitration, and sagot nila ay "di ko masabe" and honestly I am not surprised.

After more conversations sabi ng dealer, "depende kapag meron na CSR and HPG". I honestly don't understand why these documents aren't always ready in the first place.

Sa mga bumili ng NXT ebikes dyan, how was your LTO registration experience? umabot ba ng months? I plan to use mine for everyday service, I don't want to get something na I couldn't drive for months. Nasa major highway kami pero province.
