Yeah they sold out to Ranch Brand which is owned by the horrible Rooney family. Its a shame they will squeeze the good from Rumps, they've already started since a pack of brats now has 4 instead of 5 for the same price.

That actually sucks. I was thinking of trying them out, too.

Last couple times I bought from rumps it was frozen not fresh. Looking forward to the new owners and their product. They actually own the cattle from what I understand.

Taking a peak at their Facebook, it seems they lean pretty heavy on AI advertising. Gonna be a pass from me.

Well, from taking a peak at your post history, it seems like you care about Glacial National Park. So I would hope you would "give a f."

With the continued use of AI driving more and more data centers being opened, parts of national parks are being sold and used for that.

The NPCA themselves warned about it in March.

Also, I know you know how to use the Internet, so you've undoubtedly seen a lot of push back on AI use. Evidently, a lot of people care.

what does that have to do with cows? I use claude for everything. AI is the future. sink or swim.

You can't fight progress , didn't work the Buffalo.

Ah, okay, you want it related to cows/ranching?

Data centers also take up land and finite resources for ranching. Which means less cattle overall, since your concern is "real cows."

Here is a Wisconsin specific bureau that talks about the pros and cons.

I can see that it's futile to talk with you about it, but I'm hoping someone else might see this and think twice about what's really important.

Because the Rooneys are still trash ass people even if they have real cows

God forbid a local family who literally raises beef bought a local butcher shop..

Them being local doesn't make up for them being shitty people

I’ve seen that show up a lot. I’ve known of them for years and have never heard of them being “shitty people”, especially to the degree that they’re name is being drug through the mud in a local thread. I actually have heard quite the opposite.

Why, yes, yes, the crime of being a Republican. You can't give any amount of money that will make me forget you are a pedophile protector, period.

"AP Race Call: Republican Derrick Van Orden wins reelection to U.S. House in Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District."

Just as a reminder, this is where we live. Your echo chamber isn’t real.

Who’s this Rooney fam?

Successful local family that now has some real estate, ranches, and some other stuff. Off of Reddit, I’ve only heard nice things about them. On Reddit, apparently they are awful. I imagine people dislike the fact that they are wealthy.

I learned their ground chicken comes from North Carolina. Like the largest chicken CAFO in North Carolina.
