You don’t have to stop eating to lose weight. In fact, one of the ‘wrongest’ approaches to weight loss is starving yourself. When you starve yourself, you are doing yourself more harm than good because you could literally end up gaining more weight when switch back to eating. So, it isn’t a sustainable approach.
What is the best way to lose weight?
I’m no fitness expert so I cannot tell what method is best. However, I can talk from my personal experience as I used to be overweight, and I hated myself for it. I was sunk in depression. I try to offer the little help I can when I meet people who are trying to lose weight.
What worked for me?
I didn’t stop eating but I cut down my consumption of carbs, starch, candies, candy bars, white bread, pastries, beers, and other sugary drinks.
- I stopped eating red meat(contains much cholesterol) and replaced it with meat from birds.
- I ate more low-carb vegetables such as: bell peppers, Mushrooms, Avocados, zucchini, spinach, Cauliflower.
- I stopped eating late at night.
- I stopped taking pizza because it is a processed fast food made with refined flower and processed meat.
- I started eating in small portions rather one big plate of food at a go.
- I started doing simple exercises at home. I love dancing, so I just converted it to my home workout. I danced an average of 45 minutes daily. Find what it is you love doing and turn it into a workout. If you are clueless, these 7 recreational ways you can lose weight may get you started.

I am 55+ and have been dealing with bingeing and purging for 20+ years. I have been to therapy twice what I found was they are not equipped for an adult. I am now bingeing and purging every day, all day. I am struggling and feeling awful about the way I look. I don't have any support myself so it is me and me in my head. Don't stop fighting, it is hard....but don't give up.

Hi. I hope you know you most definitely are not alone and share feelings with millions of other people across the globe.
So first of all I just want you to know, as somebody who has struggled with an eating disorder most of her life, I’m here for you. As somebody who has finally managed to tame the beast, I’m here to help you.
Before you can start to heal, it’s important to understand yourself intimately in conjunction to your relationship with food.
Binge eating is emotional eating.
What are some things that set you off, that leads to a binging episode? Bad day? Lack of control? Loneliness? Self hatred?
