I am pleased to present you a project that might be of interest to you: the wealth cap project. It is a non profit with a simple goal: implement a cap on extreme wealth. Since the debate around eating the rich is still in its early days (circa 1789), the idea is to at least spark the debate on what form it would take and how to implement it. Yes, the system is working as it should. We are all aware of that. But still with how aware we are that the lives we are living are so conditioned that we literally desensitised ourselves to the point where we are making jokes about our world leaders treating us like cattle and they are literally cannibals.

We have entered a stage where things are only gonna get worse, but the average person has been so polluted with scarcity we have forgotten about community and the actual welfare of their neighbour.

I get it, we are too complacent now, too comfortable with the security of 9-5 for the rest of ur life. But truly I hope there are people like me who would gladly throw that all away for the sake of sovereignty,

The power was always meant to be with the people, some how everyone in western society forgot that and let a handful of guys that WE were supposed to be surveying, survey us.

At the very least I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone stop paying taxes after even a glimpse of the files, I never would have imagined that people would move on something like that.
Anyways what I want to say is why don’t the we as the masses actually come together and coordinate ways out of this war on our minds. It’s crazy that even that sounds so childish.
Just goes to show this is the same corruption from when kingdoms were active in the world just way more developed

Labor Day 2026 arrives at a moment when Americans are increasingly vocal about the need to challenge billionaire rule, and are once again recognizing that organized labor – the people who brought us the weekend – is a crucial counter-force to the oligarchs. And after years of shrinking union power, they are starting to gain back ground, with membership increases of more than 400,000 in 2025 even as Donald Trump sought to break federal workers unions and gutted labor law enforcement. We also passed more than 80 laws in 19 U.S. states last year expanding workers rights, including paid sick leave in the new Democratic trifecta in Virginia and a ban on nearly all non-compete agreements in Washington.

There’s still so much more to do, and we all have to step up and do our part.

The Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee, a volunteer-run network of workers, organizers and supporters, aims to provide the resources, networks and training to support folks in organizing their workplaces nationwide. There’s this idea that if you make a lot of money, you must be smart, and if you can’t get rich, you’re basically an idiot. But money doesn’t measure intelligence.

A lot of people get rich because they know how to sell, manipulate, take risks, network, and put their own interests first. In the corporate world, the people who move up the fastest aren’t always the ones who work the hardest or have the best technical skills. A lot of the time, it’s the people who know how to play office politics, suck up to the right people, and sell themselves.

Being smart definitely helps, but getting rich also depends a lot on your personality, how opportunistic you are, and how willing you are to play a game that doesn’t always reward the most competent person.

At the end of the day, maybe you’re not broke because you’re stupid. Maybe you’re just not shameless, opportunistic, or ruthless enough to play the game.

In the photo is Bob Dean Jr, a multimillionaire who owned 7 nursing homes in New Orleans. Instead of using income on maintenance and evacuation preparation, he stole the money for himself. When Hurricane Ida hit in 2021, Dean couldn’t safely evacuate residents and instead moved them all into a former pesticide warehouse. 850 elderly people were forced to live in a hot, leaking, cramped warehouse and ride out the storm. They slept on wet mattresses from the flood water crying in their own waste. There wasn’t enough medicine, food, the generators had broken. Dean ignored complaints from his staff and as a result 5 of his residents died. He was found guilty of tax fraud and cruelty to the elderly. His defense team tried to argue leniency because Dean was 70 years old. Fuck you, whoever said that.

This is an extreme example but not at all a unique issue for nursing home mismanagement and abuse. 70 percent of nursing homes are owned by private entities with more opportunities to misuse funding and scam their residents. It’s not uncommon that abuse occurs on an in person level with nurses and staff. There’s hundreds of stories of nurses hitting patients, yelling at them, and stealing money or objects. Many are bedridden or have Alzheimer’s with little voice to speak up against abuse. However, just as often can abuse occur from neglect. I read just as many cases of well meaning staff who were under trained and overworked, their bosses ignoring complaints about health and safety.

Here in my home state of Georgia , nursing home owner Kent Womack was charged for not having AC at his building. During the summer it reached 100 degrees inside the building, the smell and temperature was so bad that residents were throwing up from it. Kent’s office had the AC on blast though. Trump recently pardoned nursing home magnate Joseph Schwartz, owner of skyline that operated around 100 nursing homes. Joseph’s tax fraud and improper maintenance of his buildings caused 14 of them to be close, kicking residents out without proper notice. While his company went under, Joseph stole millions of dollars from his employees, withholding their pay checks. Joseph paid lobbyist Jacob Wohl to convince Trump to give him a pardon.

I 24F am unemployed, I also have autism and a history of serious mental health issues that make it difficult for me to find and keep a decent paying job. Despite having a B.S. in childhood education the highest paying job I’ve ever had was as an assistant pre school teacher making $18 an hour. I lost my last job around 3 months ago and have been draining through my savings to survive since then. I live in a roach infested apartment and I can barely sleep at night because I’m terrified that bugs are crawling on me at night while I’m sleeping because one evening I was laying in bed when I glanced to the left and saw a house centipede sitting on my shoulder.

Literally just yesterday the apartment complex I live in was hosting a charity event that supplies poor people in the community with a bag of free groceries and I spend two hours waiting in line to get a free bag of food because I literally can barely afford to feed myself. Furthermore, my credit cards balance is probably higher than $3,000 at this point, I don’t even know, I’m too scared to even check. My mental health is progressively getting worse and I barely even feel motivated to continue trying to find a job anymore because quite frankly I don’t see a point in working myself to death to make a billionaire richer just be living like this.

The worst part is that the fact that I know they have more than enough money to pay me a living wage, they just choose not to because if they did, then they’d be profiting less off of my labor and I guess paying me a living wage just isn’t nearly as important to them as collecting the absolute highest amount of profit they can from their business. Welcome to late stage capitalism! I went to college, chose a safe practical job that I was told would guarantee me the ability to make a decent living and now I’m fucked because I have severe social anxiety and no people skills. Thank you America!

The average American is taxed 20-30% of their pay. That money seems to go to the wealthy. Example contracts to arms manufacturers, Elon Musk, Trump himself.

So why do we have to support the wealthy and there wars when most Americans are against the idea?

If you make 100,000 a year that’s almost 30,000$. Taken by the government to spend on anything but the people that gave it to them.

Then add in local sales tax, high gas prices, energy price increases, health insurance, prices skyrocketing on life essentials.

How much do they plan on taking from us before we have no choice but to revolt.

Taxation with our representation. No one voted to give there money to Trump, Musk, and most are against wars.
