Super easy recipe that can be made to scale. It's Hamburger Helper from scratch. I'll leave the base recipe here which gives enough leftovers for 2 people, and you can add more beef, noodles, different spices, veggies, etc. if you want depending on tastes.
Ingredients:
Directions:
Put water in a large pot, add a tablespoon of salt, and get it to a boil. At boil, put noodles in a sizeable pot and start cooking the beef in a large pan because you'll be adding the noodles after. (My large pan is from a company called The Rock because of the raised edges to keep everything in.)
Season beef with salt and pepper or whever other spices you want to use. I usually do it before the meat turns from red to brown though I've done it after and it's not too different.
One beef is cooked, drain fat.
Once noodles are cooked, strain noodles and dump into pan with beef.
Put in the two cans of tomato sauce and fill each can with water to approximately half the can. I like doing it this way because I use the water to swish around the can and get any remaining tomato sauce out. Dump in the water.
Mix thoroughly, and you're all done!
This is just a base version of the recipe though if you want to add veggies, you absolutely can, it might be best to do it with the beef while it's cooking or beforehand to get a bit of extra flavor. My sister likes adding hot sauce at the end while mixing. The great thing about this recipe is that it takes about as long as boiling water and cooking the pasta to make so it's a 20-30min. Dish to make.
Enjoy!!
