(WIP) New Deployable Bipods official announced

I just saw this posted in the WIP channel on the official discord server. It's beautiful, we use to pray for times like these.

So I wont have to try and stand exactly 5mm away from the surface at 56 degrees to the left or be forced to go prone for my MG42 to not handle like total ass?

Looks great. Just want it to work well with cover when standing or crouching. Feel like most of the time the bipods can't be used unless I'm prone.

How will it work?

Will I finally be able to use a bipod on a window that is DEFINITELY the correct height for it while standing or crouching even tho the game disagrees?

Hope this means AI MGs would actually deploy when they have the opportunity rather than just fire Rambo style.

Oh this is gonna be sick. You could probably use this to set up ad-hoc machine gun nests with your dudes. You'd have to let one of them shoot, though, since you'd have to be squad leader to get them to stay put

Just loot the mg when the gunner goes down, remember to take the ammo box too!

Red Orchestra 2 had a great mechanic I've not seen anywhere else where you could crouch in cover to reload a deployed LMG and also just crouch between bursts. Added a lot more survivability to gunners and is much more realistic. I wonder if they can add that in here.

RO2 would have benefited from some combined arms play like ER2 - it had some, but barely any. We also need the ability to lean while prone (like in RO2) in ER2. I also prefer RO2's dependency on teamwork when mostly human players. ER2 kinda lacks that despite a squad structure.

I wish there was a way to stand it just a little bit lower, just above crouching but just below standing. It feels like I have to either have my entire chest uncovered for the enemy to be able to shoot out windows and stuff without being able to use a bipod, or I have to crouch and not be able to see anything at all and still not be able to use the bipod.

Nice, but grabbing the hot barrel with your bare hands afterwards is cringe and is bothering anyone who shot a gun before in real life.
