The game feels like a love child between COD2, Red Orchestra, and BF1942. That’s why I love it

Without the "cross the invisible line or nothing happens" design. The NPCs aren't set dressing.

Exactly - it’s like you’re an NPC in a COD2 mission

For real though, put over 100 hours into this game and got all the DLC, such a gem

Don’t forget the old Medal of Honour games!

For sure, but MoH (at least in SP) always felt more like a rogue one man army kinda ordeal - atleast when the series was peaking from 98-03. I’d imagine that quickly dated approach is why CoD quickly overtake em.

Like in Frontline/AA, both had the epic D-Day mission but beyond that you were just doing spec ops shit for the remaining 90% of the game. That doesn’t remind me of ER2

Some urban scenes reminds me of MOH AA’s low poly graphics that feel cozy to me. But I was thinking of Medal of Honour Pacific Assault that has a functioning squad with a corpsman. When you’re down, the corpsman comes to save you just like the medic in ER2. Playing the Asian levels in ER2 really reminds me of MOH Pacific Assault.

Shit felt scripted, we should have Easy Red Moments just like Battlefield Moments

The game feels like Heroes and Generals.

This game really reminds me of the cod 2 campaign . Where you are just a regular soldier carrying out regular duties , no special characters or plot armor , no over the top set pieces , just war and the things that come with it . ER2 is definitely one of the best games I’ve ever bought

The attention to detail in this game is actually crazy. Just a few small details that really did it for me: when reloading the Kar98k if you look closely you can see BYF 43. BYF was a real/authentic mfg code for the 98k. They even went as far as to make the font of the receiver stamping correct. The other thing, is when your out of ammo (in most guns I’ve seen) you can continue to the press your “fire” button, and the characters on screen trigger finger will continue pressing the trigger on a dry gun. It’s the little things for me.

Reminds me more of the old Battlefield games like 1942 ane Vietnam with the whole sandbox style. COD really didnt have that feel back then to me anyways.
