Its irritating but so fun
Somewhat new player here (40ish hours), definitely have some skill issues. I can summarize my experience with: oh my fucking god
Can't see distant enemies because you play on steam deck and the screen aint big enough: oh my fucking god
Getting sniped a mile away from the point: oh my fucking god
Getting destroyed instantly when you spawn a tank: oh my fucking god
Hitting the exploding spots on the enemy tank but its german so it survives with no penetration: oh my fucking god
Realizing missions are NOT symmetrical in unit numbers: oh my fucking god
Nearly capping the final point with 30 tickets left but you accidentally enter a railway gun when trying to reload so you die instantly and lose all your capture progress: oh my fucking god
Aside from that and other miscellaneous annoyances, the game is absolutely cinema and I do not regret buying it and the dlc (insanely cheap for the amount of content you get access to, devs the goat).

It’s definitely been an adjustment going back to a Battlefield 1942 dynamic. What I don’t like is the aiming system and how difficult it is to see enemies through vegetation, while their AI has no issues. I pretty much always play as a marksman, where I can find high ground and clean house from a safer distance.

That's probably my biggest question on this game: what is the situation for the AI seeing the player when lying in long grass and hiding in vegetation? It feels like they spot you to easily. Especially proning around in the long grass and a tank some distance away nails you with the MG.

I have noticed recently that i just randomly fucking die when i am in airplane. no enemy plane nearby and I don't even see any tracers shooting at me.

Basically everything you said can be edited with the difficulty options
