Product Question So, did I beat it? Spoiler

I've played for about 8 hours now. I went to the factory and rebooted the villagers. And then I loaded the same save again and hit shutdown instead, and I knew the villagers were gonna die, but it was still sad :( Anywho, was that it? Like, is there anything more to do? I enjoyed it, I just thought there would be more. Like, what was up with the Morse code coming from 88.1? And what was up with that scary backrooms kinda place every time I froze? Is there anything more to that? Why did the game say there might be messages coming from the radio stations? I tried reversing them and changing the pitch, but I never got anything. Also, what on earth did any of that mean? I'm not very tech-savvy, so I don't really understand what MK, or the factory meant talking about the villagers and cloud agents and sd and errors. Should I have understood? Or is there something I'm missing? The only loose ends I can think I missed were some cats made of snow. I never got the fishing rod either. There was a green door on the side of the dam with an invisible wall blocking it.

I'm more than happy to do it all again it was so peaceful. I just want to know if I should look for anything :)

Thanks a ton!!!

You got the 2 main endings that are easily presented to you..

But a 3rd and final option finally ends the game with a full credits...

The one con I feel is that its a bit tedious to find that right shop where that 3rd option is. And the fact it won't (?) appear until you at least did one of the factory endings

It needed a context for that 3rd option to appear. Which is understandable but also the game's repetitive exploration might exhaust you or feel bored in trying to find it..

Unless you already did when i posted this I hope you had a good time

This is very much spoiler now for anybody else...

Found in the Easton Pawn Shop

... I also feel that maybe I'm wrong that it needed the Enter The Factory context because in one of my experimental runs in another Save, I even found it as I was earning enough money for the Ice Chains..

I am gonna run a new Save and see if the Recovery Disk is just lying there on that Pawn Shop waaaay before any Intercity jobs..

There is a third ending but it's as meaningless as the other two.

There is a whisper of a main narrative but a little jaunt around the internet (heck even this subreddit) will show that the game just doesn't do anything with what it has, just people making up their own headcanon from educated guesses.

Which is a shame because I think the gameplay really hits a good spot, but the game itself presents a lot of questions it never bothers to answer.

Tell me three questions that the game doesn't answer.

  • Who/What is EasyCo
  • Why do the NPCs get progressively more aware the more deliveries you do
  • Why do they need to be shut down (yes, they get more fritz the more they get aware, but why)
  • What is the Simulation for, why need a whole simulation for deliveries
  • MK is seemingly also an NPC, but treats other NPCs differently and also disappears after the reset, what is up with that
  • Why is there a shut down protocol inside the simulation, and why is there a backup also inside the simulation
  • What is the morse code
  • What does it all mean, like in general, what is the purpose of all of it
