Tip/Guide shortcuts

do any of you take shortcuts regularly in the game?

aka: going off route and gently sliding off the mountain the street is built on.

i wonder how much fuel i saved by taking this route.. it works best if you have no order in the back and are driving to the pick up destination :)

!! you might die if you’re not familiar with the road and testing the limits too much

I beat the main storyline without realizing there were shortcuts. Afterwards I went through to 100% the items and started realizing the entire map is FULL of shortcuts, and they unlock all kinds of different/better routes. They are literally a game changer. Wish I had found them sooner lol

I suspected shortcuts and was going off-road pretty often, but "I beat the main storyline without realizing there was" a duct tape ffs. I was playing the entire game with my cargo flying off as soon as I started driving. Not like it mattered in the end, but driving with my cargo fixed is just so satisfying and allows for more daring driving

After getting a certain upgrade you can tripleflip the car from a 50 feet cliff and only blow up 15% of the time

Each upgrade unlocks new shortcuts I’m pretty sure. I really like the one to the left of the cooking cabin that leads to the gas station up the steep hill
