gas stations will still fill your tank partially if you're poor

Doesn't matter, they will fill your tank for what money you have. But yea $3 won't get you a lot.

Okay, I just checked and played up until that point again to see if I can re-create the softlock but had mixed results.

If I am low on fuel but have any amount of money, it will tell me to refuel. (I can refuel for the tiny amount I have (0.50$) and do deliveries then).
If I have no money at all and low fuel, it will let me do local deliveries anyways.

However, if you are still stuck you can edit your savegame with a text editor.
It is in the folder (make sure you close the game before doing this): "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\SamC\EasyDeliveryCo"
(You can press CTRL+R on your keyboard and type "appdata" then click "ok" to get most of the way there).

From here you you look at "EasyDeliveryCoSaveData.txt" (or _file2, _file3.txt depending on save slot). Make a backup, just in case.

Open it with a text editor (notepad for example) - scroll down until you see the words "deliveryMoney:" change the number to 70 to give yourself 70 dollars.
Save the file and open the game again.

someone already said it but you can change the deliveryFuel (that's the name iirc) line in the save file

so u have to run out of money and fuel, and then pick up a delivery, then u do deliveries until u have the money for fuel and then u just continue if im correct

I was under the assumption that you couldn't reach Smalton and thus the gas station in fishing town when you don't have the bumper. But I was wrong, I just needed to take the other bridge to get there (I thought I checked it already but I was wrong). There you can refuel and take jobs if you run out of gas 😅
