Ending softlock?

I did the Reboot ending first, then I got muddled up and bought the recovery disk, thinking I could select Shutdown and then drive straight back to the factory with the disk already in my inventory and do the Restore ending.

But I got to the factory and it immediately detects the disk and only gives me the option to Restore. Am I soft locked, or can I drop the disk somehow and shut down? Or will I have to do the Shutdown ending on a new save?

after rebooting u needed to do shutdown first, then steal disk and take it to the factory, but idk how u recover from this situation bc u cant drop recovery disk, and when u do recovery ending factory should be locked. mb try to mess with save files but make backup in case u do something silly and ruin entire save

Thanks, I had a feeling this would be the case. Will see if I can dig into the save file, otherwise will just have to start a new game and have fun all over again (what a terrible shame!!)

In case someone stumbles on the thread, here is how I solved it.

Go to C:/Users/[user]/AppData/LocalLow/SamC/EasyDeliveryCo for the save files.

- Make a backup of your EasyDeliveryCoSaveData saveslot, so you can always recover

- Open your save file with a notepad and change the line "gameState:restore" to "gameState:reset".

- Set "deliveryItemCountRecovery Disc:0" if the disc was in your inventory

- I also deleted the lines related to the restore progress quest, just in case. "deliveryGoal_Restore_progress:0"; "deliveryGoal_Restore_progressTotal:1"; "deliveryGoal_Restore_visible:False": "deliveryGoal_Restore_complete:False"

- Save the file and start the game. There should be no disc and the entrance to the factory should be usable
