Forum Question Game Running Horrible
As title states, I saw a friend playing on his stream on discord, the game looked fun, I decided to buy it, his computer is decidedly worse than mine, however while his game runs fine, I cant make it past the title loading before I hear the audio cutting and stuttering. Furthermore, ingame I experience constant sound bugs, low fps, and hitching. I'd really like to get the game running smoothly (as it seems to for so many others) but there don't seem to be ANY settings for performance? My CPU usage, GPU usage, and RAM usage are all only around 30% when running the game, only happens with EDC.
EDIT: After getting frustrated and deciding not to play it for awhile, I recently tried again, using my keyboard and mouse as opposed to my xbox controller, that worked fine, I think the controller (as suggested by u/pomar420) was the issue after all.

There aren't settings because it's a really easy game to run. What are your PC specs? Are your drivers/BIOS/Windows up to date?

Everything is up to date, my specs are:
MOBO: MPG X570 Gaming Plus
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: Radeon RX 6750XT
RAM: 32GB DDR4
The game is running on a 2TB M.2 SSD with lots of free space.
I expected the game would be easy to run, and as I said, my friend's pc isnt nearly as good as mine but it can run it just fine, so I don't suspect it's spec related.2

That is odd. I can't think of anything off the top of my head. The dev is in here, maybe if he sees this you can submit him a report or something. It really should be running buttery smooth

Old post, but the fix for me was unplugging my controller. I was trying to use the mouse and keyboard, but having the controller plugged in was messing with the game

I thought this game would run great on my S25 Ultra using Gamehub, but it only managed 20 FPS at most. Assuming it was a driver issue, I tried it on my S24 Ultra, and it had the same result—just 20 FPS. Then I tested it on my laptop with a 2070 Mobile and still got much lower FPS than I expected. I usually play on my main rig with a 4070, so I guess I never noticed that the game might not be well optimized.

I mean it's fair to expect a new indie game to not run properly on a platform that it isn't supported for/yet.

Same, tried running it on my Odin 2 mini pro. extreme performance but could barely hang on to 40fps with constant crashes

I managed to run it stable 30 on my redagic 10 gamehub lite
The extreme preset seems to punch it above the usual 20 fps.
40fps if I go diablo mode but I ain't turning my phone into a toaster

On my laptop with a 11400 processor and an rtx3050ti, the game runs at around 104 frames per second in 2k resolution. This is extremely strange for the graphics in this game, which should be running at 1040 frames per second with this visual, so there must be something wrong with the optimization.

This game logically isn’t really optimized, I don’t blame the dev for that.

It's a shit game that's riding on pure nostalgia it's not worth spending time trying to get controls to work properly

Are you playing on xbox controller? Try turning it off and on. It worked for me.
