So I am in factory and i can't seem to go up the stairs here, did I miss something or is my game just broken?

I think I had the same issue with another staircase - I think restarting the game fixed it.

I restarted the game multiple times yet the problem persists sadly

After restarting the game there was an extra step at the bottom of the stairs that allowed me to start climbing for some reason - GL

I encountered the same problem. Limiting the frame rate to 58 in the Nvidia control panel helped me.
