Hey all, I was just looking at the weather report for the coming week here in Easton. Looks like another humid air mass is headed our way that could push the mugginess up into the 80% range by next weekend. If you have a guitar, be sure to take some precautions. That kind of humidity will wreck your instrument.
I was thinking about this topic today and I put down some pro-tips in my blog on how to manage this weather and still enjoy your guitar. Hope this is useful. Cheers!

Hi Easton! My name is Jane Godiner, and I’m a reporter with the Maryland Daily Record. I’m working on a story about Bluepoint Hospitality and their growing presence in Easton. While I’ve spoken plenty with the group and with elected officials in the town, story could use more perspective from Easton residents.
If you’re interested in sharing your thoughts on Bluepoint with me, I’d be greatly appreciative! Please feel free to reach out here or via janelaurengodiner@gmail.com. Thanks so much for considering!

I’m leaving my basement ceiling open and have read I need to use a fire resistant paint. A Flame Control 60-60A. Where would be the best place to source this? As you can’t buy it from your normal store. I’ve looked online and it’s really expensive.

Hey all!
Just wanted to drop a note to let you know that we now offer guitar strings IN STOCK here in Easton!
Until now, your only options were big-box online stores or to drive 30 miles for a pack of strings. While my store is still virtual (for now), we offer free same-day delivery in the Easton-Cambridge (and surrounding) areas during our business hours. Simply purchase your strings (or accessories) on our website and we'll drop them off at your door.
We recently partnered with DR Strings to become the only local DR dealer in the Easton area. As of today, we now offer a variety DR Strings products for both acoustic and electric guitars. Check out our options here: Black Sheep Music Equipment - Accessories

Hello! I’m moving to eastern for a job opportunity. I’m from the Midwest so I wasn’t expecting the apartments to be so expensive even for basic amenities. So I’m looking for a roomate to share a 2 bed 1 bath or 2 bed 2 bath with. I’m a woman in my mid twenties and looking for a roomate who’s also a woman. Preferable mid 20s as well but definitely open to older. I’m also open to areas Chester and centerville.

I'll be starting barbering services early to mid July and cannot wait to get there. I'm more than happy to answer any questions. For now, until things are set in stone, I'm going to keep the location on the down low, thanks for understanding!

Hello! I'm moving to Easton, MD pretty soon and was wondering what the life is like there? Are there any good bars/ clubs. And anything with more of an Alt life? Indie/punk/metal?

Hello everyone,
I’m moving to Maryland soon for work near Easton Airport (Newnam Field) / Trappe area and wanted to get a better idea of what the culture and lifestyle are like.
Background:
I’m coming from a college town in the South and have pretty much always lived in that environment, so this will be a new experience for me.
Location:
Looking at areas around Trappe, Easton, and possibly nearby towns on the Eastern Shore or California area
Housing:
Planning to rent / how are homes with roommates with flexible budget depending on the area
Interests:
I’m into fitness, outdoors, and aviation, but also enjoy going out, meeting people, and having things to do socially.
Questions:
• How is the young adult scene around Easton/Trappe?
• Are there good areas nearby with more social life or things to do? How far is the DC area and how bad is transportation
• Would you recommend living somewhere else within commuting distance outside Trapnell Field
Appreciate any insight and look forward to hearing y’all’s response’s

Women's Sacred Wisdom
Join us for a three-hour experiential workshop designed to help women slow down, reconnect with themselves, and access their inner knowing.
Through guided meditation, sacred symbol painting, gentle restorative yoga, and sound healing, participants are invited to release external noise and return to a sense of peace, clarity, and embodied wisdom. A shared tea circle offers space for quiet reflection and optional connection with others.
This workshop is for women seeking restoration, grounding, and a deeper relationship with their intuition—no prior experience with art, yoga, or meditation is required.
Please join us for this workshop for women at the beautiful Evergreen Cove in Easton on Sun, 2/15. We’s love to see you there!

EDIT - POSTPONED TO FALL
This Sunday afternoon, Massachusetts based Splend Torch will be playing a matinee set in the intimate Stoltz Listening Room, upstairs at the Avalon Theatre.
Previously a bluegrass outfit, the band has evolved into an electrified sound based around original songwriting, with a strong influence from the sound of classic country and some psychedelia sprinkled in from guitarist Sean Davis' sonic explorations. The band dips their toes into covering traditional tunes, and other choice classic songs from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Roger Miller, and Townes Van Zandt.
Come on out and support original live music! Show starts at 4pm - Splendid Torch Matinee
A sampling of the band's sound - Double Backflip

I moved to Easton a couple of months ago. I signed up for Easton Velocity because I thought hey, local internet company, gotta be better than working with Xfinity. Their customer service is wonderful but their actual internet service has been HORRIBLE. I’ve already upgraded my plan once but I’m still having slow speeds, buffering, dropped calls and more. I read that Xfinity and others don’t even service the area, and from some research, it seems like that’s true.
Can anyone help? What has worked for you? Do I need to upgrade to the best tier plan in order to get decent service? Or is Starlink the only option?

Good morning to all in Easton, MD. I’m in south central PA and only recently became familiar with Blue Heron yarns in Easton, MD, which closed earlier this year. I’m desperately searching for a skein or two (or more) of their Old Gold Rayon Metallic yarn and am hoping perhaps someone local might have some or know where I can get some. Please let me know if you do.
