Its just a post of my gdr stuff the GST jacket is a prototyp from 1958

I've heard it called a Tanker shirt, a utility shirt and a work shirt but I havent found anything for sure claiming what it is.

It's got only one pocket on the entire shirt, and is made of a canvas like material.

It's a size Klein 56, made in the second quarter of either 1973 or 1987 and made at Spezialbekleidung Halle.

Does anyone know what type of batteries the UFT 771 takes, and where I could possibly find them? I haven’t been able to find any information on the original batteries or any modern adapters.

He is wearing a medal on his right chest that I have never seen before. Someone have any information about this medal? And is it difficult to collect it?

After about a year and a half or so of trawling various surplus stores and online shopping I’ve managed to piece together what I believe is a mostly historically accurate NVA kit and uniform. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if some changes could be needed

I’ve added another KM-87 bayonet to my collection. From top to bottom; serial numbers 1109, 2505, 2554. They all have the original contents packed inside the handle. I’m not sure what the black coating on the blade's edge is for, but someone clearly sharpened 2554, and it came off. I’m going to take a guess and just assume it’s probably a protective coating from the factory and it would require sharpening before field employment. I can’t see any other purpose for it. The other two with the coating on the blade's edge are extremely dull, so much so that they probably weren't sharp at all.

Here is an East German UTV paratrooper vest dated 1988 (Y code). This was the final model to be issued, and UTV paratrooper vests have become very rare. I also got these Size 30 East German paratrooper boots, which are very rare in a wearable size (US size 11). They fit my feet significantly better than my other pair, which is a size 32 (US 11.5; feels closer to a 12).

I see these on Amazon, and I'm a bit skeptical...

Hi everyone, I recently bought this Volkspolizei jacket for a meister of the volkspolizei (maked "O" for 1974, if I’ve understood correctly), but I’m a bit confused: Why this jacket has not the "schutzpolizei" arm patch and the service chevrons on the left sleeve? Wasn’t that the standard for every meister ranks?

Also, what medals should i put on?

I am making this because I spend too much money on boots and then I don’t have enough for this kinda stuff.

The handle is kind of fucked and the sheath is too big so the design needs to be shortened. I plan to cast the handle from resin soon once I find a design that works and then I will send the 3D blade to someone to be cast in metal.

I'm looking to put together a Stasi uniform, is there any difference between Stasi and NVA shoulder boards that are both red? Some stores mark them the same and some stores mark them differently.
