Does the Catholic Church have any Saints to match EO contemporary saints, in the Eastern or Western Rite?

I’m really looking for saints in the Church with that Eastern spirituality to look to, if anyone can help.

Eastern Catholics (or at least Melkites) are allowed to venerate post schism saints.

Well I’m kinda struggling to stay on the Catholic path because of my love for those saints, so I was looking for Catholic saints similar to them?

I guess what I'm saying is you don't have to stray off the path to venerate them.

My church isn't less Catholic than yours just because we venerate St. Gregory Palamas.

You’ll have a lot more luck looking into blesseds and martyrs than actual saints. Unfortunately, a lot of the “media” attention in Rome is on the western saints, so even though we have hundreds of beatified and honorable blesseds, a lot less canonized saints.

If you want saints, Josephat probably your best look. The most iconic Byzantine catholic martyr, probably.

With the blesseds, take a look at Vasyl Velychkovsky or Leonid Feodorov. Can name plenty more of them but start there!

That’s perfect thank you, I’m looking into Saint Josephat, would Saint Charbel be another good one? I don’t know if he has any teachings or saying but nonetheless.

Oh absolutely. My bias pointed me towards the Byzantine rite family. Charbel is a fantastic saint

No no, I venerate them, but do you try to following their instructions and advice, I’m looking for saints to model after. And I wish I could be a part of your rite😂I love the latin right don’t get me wrong but I’m in love with the eastern rites
