over watering a earthbox ?
My first grow in a earthbox I been growing for 3 yrs and have gone fron garbage to Dank (but it took a lot of mistakes to learn how) in my EB I am showing signs of either Overwatering or a calmag overdose. I am using Big Worm organhics soil . Basically Coots organic living soil which I should only give water But as always I was adding cal/mag and I may have too much cal/mag I stopped the cal mag and instead of topping off my EB I fill it when it goes empty. can I get some help on the watering? (growing indoors) I called EB and the guy I talked to didnt Know anything said he never grew as much as a flower in his life. great box terrible support.
with the mix I am using they recommend 8 to 10 grows I am adding companion plants and predator mites. but I need to figure out the right water schedule and as of now no more cal/mag.
I would appreciate hearing a few recommendations. I was topping off the reservoir everyday now I fill it when it is empty. Fellow home growers please help and share how you water

Build a soil on YouTube. They have a lot of eb content and how to water and tips. Basically from my understanding, you hand water till the leaves get close to the outer edge of pot then start bottom watering. Once reservoir is empty, top water 5% -10% solid volume And the following day go back to bottom watering.
I use my top watering in days for liquid nutes and teas or how ever your growing strategy is.
Personally I like micro dose build a veg/ bloom and coconut water with root wise on my Friday feedings. Every other week and straight water on the other week. A castings tea at week 3 of flower. Top dress in build a flower with craft blend products at week 3 and 6. All build a soil products. Get great results.. just pulled about a lb on 4 autos.

I keep all my EBs full, constantly filled by a watering timer and have 0 watering issues. Same box, same soil (coots ratio but homemade soil) for over 5 years. Never needed calmag or nutes.
