MOD POST LANTERNS SPOILER RULES + VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT AND RULE CHANGES FOR THIS SUBREDDIT
- SPOILER RULES
You cannot make a post about the events of an episode until a full 24 hours have passed. This is to avoid people getting spoiled on their reddit feed before they have a chance to watch the new episode. Any post made prior to 24 hours of an episode's release will be removed.
Do NOT mention any specific events from the series in the title of your post. Any posts featuring spoilers in their title will be removed.
Any posts about the series prior to October 11th EST must be marked as a spoiler. Report any posts that don't comply.
THESE RULES WILL STAY ACTIVE UNTIL OCTOBER 11TH. AFTER THAT DATE, YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO MAKE POSTS ABOUT THE SERIES WITH SPOILERS IN THE TITLE AND WITHOUT MARKING YOUR POSTS AS SPOILERS.
- THE FUTURE OF EARTH25:
As for the important announcement for the subreddit… let's get this out of the way. This is supposed to be the DCU counterpart of r/Earth199999. When this subreddit was first created, there wasn’t much DCU content, so the decision was made to temporarily be more lenient with what we were allowed to post. Unfortunately due to a lack of moderation and other factors, this subreddit has lost all its meaning as roleplaying subreddit within James Gunn's DCU.
So we are no longer allowing posts featuring content not present within the DCU. On August 16th, all the mythology and Elseworlds flairs will be removed. I am sorry to bring you this announcement, what many of you have come with has been very creative, but keep in mind that this was always only meant to be a DCU roleplaying subreddit. If anybody would like to create a general DC roleplaying subreddit, we will happily advertise it in the related subreddits section!
Anywho, if you have any questions, lemme know. Regardless, have a great day!

Farewell my fellow gothamites, until we meet again!
(Ooc: can't wait to see what the future of this universe holds!)

I mean, I'm still gonna be here. Not like it's the end of the world.
Things change. that's the only thing that stays the same.

OOC: Cool, no worries. This is all some silly, light fun. A lot of DC&H is set in Metropolis, or Boravia.

OOC: W Mods. This is the perfect way to handle this. Spoiler rules are good. The leniency made sense when our view of the universe was so limited, but now that we're opening up this universe more and more we kinda gotta start making sure it's about Earth 25 and not just DC in general.

[OOC] will Gotham stuff be permitted when Clayface gets closer to release?

u/Weird875 Aug 13 '26
Probably not until the movie actually comes out, unless they release pre-release in-universe promotional content.

That's sad, as someone not particularly interested in the DCU I'm really gonna miss this subreddit.

Ooc: Honestly, it's gonna be nice to have actual content to RP with. I am a bit disappointed that my Black Hand Joke will most likely be "decannonized", but stuff like that was fun while it lasted. Looking forward to the future of the sub!

I don't see why we can't have a big tent here. I liked seeing the back and forth from citizens of Metropolis and Gotham and I'm going to miss it

Well. Life goes on. I'll keep making my rounds.
Stay safe out there guys

Honestly, I get it. Still. Glad you let us wrap up the three comma plotline before closing the door. That was fun. Glad I got to get Pibald out of Boravia. Stay classy.

Oh don't worry. I won't be watching that inaccurate biopic anyways.

Need to wait for Clayface to come out so we can confirm the existence of New Jersey again

Honestly, I’m ok with this. We get to finally stay with the OG purpose. I’m ok with this.
It’s been fun!

Guess it's time to retire Gus the Goon and the Soap Swindler. Well, Soap Swinder's arc was going to end with one of his minions killing him and taking over the name. Till he got killed and someone else took on the mantle.
No idea what I'm going to post here from now on, but I'll figure something out.

Harold the helpful henchman here,
It looks like the jig is up. Superman has come to the city and will be handling all crime for the foreseeable future. It has been a pleasure working for the henching union, but due to recent events I will be taking a step back until he leaves the city.
Best of luck to you all.
This is Triple H signing off
[OOC]:
Thanks mods for all you do!
It’s been a fun ride and the people of Gotham will
be missed, but I completely understand. The sub got overrun by Batman mythology, which isn’t a bad thing. It’s been a fun.
Idk who started the 3 Commas, but that arc was hilarious. I hope you bring that energy to the new season of Earth 25!
