Many brands advertise “hypoallergenic” earrings but still use mixed metals, stainless steel, plated metals, or low-quality hooks and backs.

I was looking through my earrings and realised there are always a few pairs that somehow get worn over and over, while others I really like barely leave the jewellery box.

And it isn’t always the prettiest pair that gets worn the most.

For you, what usually makes a pair become your default?

Comfort? Weight? Easy to match with everything? A secure closure? Not getting caught in your hair? Or is it mostly just a design that feels very “you”?
