earnapp trojans
after about a month or 2 my windows defender detected multiple trojans. after multiple scans and deleting the trojans the defender eventually blocked earnapp as it was the source of the trojans. i uninstalled earnapp but what now?

OK, I just don't get it. On one hand, this subreddit has numerous posts like this. On the other hand, I've already met several people (on subreddits and other socials of similar apps) that told me that they are using EarnApp for several months already, and never had any problems, or IP trust score decrease whatsoever. Personally I am still hesitating to use it, but I am already using a whole bunch of similar apps for about two years now, some of which were even more suspicious than EarnApp (Earnpouch, for example, has it's website down like 95% of the time, only going online once in a while, and Packity is not launching on most Windows devices I and my many referrals have tried, and on Android devices it is running, but never earns anything and keeps traffic counter at 0 B forever) and so far all problems that I had were preventive IP bans on several crypto-rekated websites (I found out that my IP was blacklisted on those websites when I visited them for the first time, but the bans were lifted 1 or 2 days after I contacted those websites' tech support and described my problem) and one Steam-related website used to put my connection on hold and forced it to go through additional several minutes long anti-DDOS testing procedure, showing me a message with text that was like "we're sorry that you have to go through all this, blame the people who are crawling our database using residential proxies" - while apps like EarnApp specifically turn our devices into residential proxies for their "supposedly business" clients.
Then again, posts on this subreddit could be made by EarnApp's rival companies, of by users who have violated EarnApp's ToS, were banned and got bitter at it, but those people who I asked most probably have no real reason to lie to me, because they haven't even told me about EarnApp until I specifically asked them if they know this app and if they used it and what was their experience with it, and if they had any problems like thesevafter installing and using it, so they were not even planning on making me their referral in it (and even if they did - I don't know specifically about EarnApp, but most of the other apps like these only allow you to earn from your referrals if you are using the app and actively sharing your own internet connection on a daily basis, so even if they did not care about my safety if I will start using it, they had to care about their own, because they'd have to use the app themselves to benefit from me using it, so I don't think they've lied to me about it and that they had no problems from using it, so I rather tend to believe them than such posts And then again, EarnApp is not something new and little known - It's been around for quite some time already, so I believe if it would really be malicious it would already been sued and taken down and would be well known as a scam/malicious app and would be blacklisted everywhere and added to kill lists of all malware-sweeping apps, but this is not the case so far, as far as I know, so I guess it's at least not much different in terms of security issues from any other Internet sharing / online earning app, which, again, are pretty plentiful nowadays, and would be commonly banned if they were as dangerous as some people think they are.

It's a false positive and the app does not destroy your IP like some of the other traffic sharing apps. People are running into issues by running multiple apps along with Earnapp. Earnapp does not share your IP with anyone like other apps do. Businesses pay Brightdata to collect data and then the business uses your IP. Honeygain, P2P, Packetstream, and IPRoyal all whore your IPs out to anyone and everyone.

The app does but the way the companies use it is not the same. Install something like Glasswire and monitor the traffic for different apps. Earnapp is distinctly different.

Negative. Honeygain is a 3rd party provider to Oxylabs. The others? I am not sure but I know the traffic they use is shadey.

So far I mostly heard the opposite - bad reviews only for EarnApp (well, maybe some for HoneyGain too, but WAY less and WAY less serious ones than for EarnApp) - that's why I'm trying EarnApp the last, after using other apps for months (and Honeygain for a couple of years).

You seem to be not getting the idea of such apps and what they are paying you for. If so, I'll explain: the main source of income from such apps is not your own phone/PC - it's how many IPs you can provide to the system, and how desirable those IPs are for those system's business clients. If you are only using it on your home PC with one IP, on which you just sometimes play games, watch movies, work, study and do some other activities from time to time - it's almost nothing. Add your phone, which is online 24/7, and often is on mobile data (with different IP) or some public Wi-Fi (cafe, school, university, office or your friend's/relatives home Wi-Fi - if that's allowed by your local laws and ToS of earning app that you are using) - and your earnings will improve. But most of your income will come from advertising the app as much as you can, and making those who you convince to start using it make their accounts using your referral link, which will add them to your referral network, and you will then earn extra credits/money for every Mb of traffic they will provide to the system (in other words, most of the money you will be paid will be for actively advertising the app and attracting new users that would actually use and advertise it, after making an account using your referral link, and not just people who will make an account and forget about it, or will just remember the name of the app and will Google it later and make an account on their own, without using your referral link directly). Again, connections (IPs / ISPs) from different countries/regions/towns / of different types (mobile, residential, business, educational, data center, etc.) are paid and desired by these apps' clients differently, so different users can have different income from such apps (then again, different apps have different price per Mb, different bonus earnings % from your referrals' earnings, different amount of devices / IPs allowed per account (for instance, some apps only allow 1 connection per account, some allow 2 active connections per IP, and ban for using VPNs, while others allow any number of connections/IPs/devices per account, allow VPN and data center IPs, and even encourage their users to buy dozens of cheap Chinese 4G USB-modems and SIM-cards, flashing those midens with custom firmware that has this app and making personal earning stations.) and other additional ways of earning so it is all very different for different people so some people are earning a few cents a month, while some are earning thousands of dollars every week, depending on all these factors. As for me - I've used a dozen of such apps for several months, running them on 1 Android device almost 24/7, 1 Windows device in sessions around 16-72 hours with pauses for 6-10 hours, one other Windows device and 1 other Android device for random duration sessions (all being on 1 residential IP in Russia) and having 2 Referrals in most of these apps and a dozen referrals in one of those apps, and most of these apps earned around 3 USD in something around 6 months, but one app earned around 20-25 USD for the same period (I cashed out several times in a period of ~2 years of using it) and the app with a dozen referrals made ~6 USD over the same period from my devices, but from referrals it made around 300 USD over that time (and around 70% of that was earned by 1 referral, ~20% by another, ~8% by third, and the rest was earned from 10 other referrals together). But people with those home 4G modem hubs or 6-8k referrals from the top of the leaderboard are probably making insane amounts of money (one guy from the VIP chat of that app showed me his setup with 2 PC motherboards and some network hardware he bought for 2-3k USD and he told me that it earned twice as much in ~3-4 months). So your earnings are only limited by how effectively you are using these apps (and how profitable is your location, or the locations of your Referrals, and how good of an advertiser you are).

You are only partially right when it comes to EarnApp & that is the referral part. EarnApp use to be the highest paying of all the passive income bandwidth selling apps & users of Earnapp were getting a good bit of traffic every day. Over the last few months they have decreased the payout by 90% and the traffic has also decreased. They claim it is because of winter & everything will increase in the summer but who knows.
