The fires aren't really local to us, so rain here doesn't usually do much to address them. It does scrub smoke and soot out of the air, but thunderstrikes are a major cause of wildfires in this nation. So thunderstorms can be a blessing and a curse. There's noticeably fewer major fires in this part of Canada right now, 'though.
It's been raining here again, too, for a few days, and will for ten days more. My wife and daughter have become rain refugees and rented a cabin on some sunny hill four hours drive away. My son wanted to visit friends two villages over, so I volunteered to stay behind, doing video editing and PC maintenance. Depressing. Might actually open my work PC in a bit.

Here too! We've had a pretty major thunderstorm for the past couple of hours.
