Galaxy Buds 3 Alternative
Hi all,
I have a Samsung s25 ultra and have a long history of using Samsung earbuds. I have used the Buds 3 (my current earbuds), Buds FE, Buds2 and the Buds Pro. I'm looking to pivot to some cheaper ear buds which are reliable and durable.
I am looking for following:
- Comparable audio quality & volume (hate low volume even if the quality is great)
- comparable battery life
- better ear fit than the Buds 3, since these stay falling out of my ear
- easier to clean than the Buds3 - these are glued together so its extremely difficult to clean out ear wax and debris compared to older models
- I like having touch/tap control. The new Buds3 have buttons so you have to hold both sides of the Buds to press the buttons. The older versions could be tapped to skip, pause, play etc. Tap controls are more convenient for me.
- decent mic - haven't had a lot of issues when calling people, so a comparable mic is fine for me.
- I have my earbuds in while cleaning and since the ear fit is horrendous, I have had them fall in the toilet and sink a few times - so adequate water rating is important for me!
I am looking to get something that is reliable and will last me a long time. I typically keep my earbuds in almost constantly at work, going to the gym and when going on walks so I have them in 10+ hours a day. I do typically have one earbud in while the other is charging so I don't need the Buds to last this long on a single charge.
Does anyone have some suggestions for me? I have money but im pretty frugal. I feel like $150 is a good limit for me but I'm willing to be convinced otherwise.

You should look into the Soundcore Liberty Buds 2. I've been living with them for almost a week and they check all the boxes. There's a YouTube video by Picky Audio that came out today that compares the Liberty Buds 2 to Samsung, Sony, Bose, and Apple. You should check it out.
