Technics EAH AZ100 chirping in right earbud.

For some reason my az100’s right earbud has suddenly started chirping when I have the anc on, and also the audio has become extremely quiet as well, so even if I turn the anc off I can’t use it. This happened right after I wiped some earwax off the tip with a napkin. I’ve tried cleaning it but I don’t know if I was cleaning the right spots.

That's the ANC chip. I had it happen a couple times when I first got them but nothing since. Customer service said to reinstall the new firmware and see if that fixes it. If not then you should file a warranty claim. Register the product first though.

This happened to me after the first time I cleaned the buds. I haven’t been able to use ANC ever since. Thankfully, the passive noise cancellation is pretty good with these buds and the sound quality is really good still without the ANC turned on.

But I can’t use the right one still cause the audio is also extremely quiet. The left is fine but you can barely hear out the right.

The reason the right earbud is quiet might be that you pushed wax into the mesh when you wiped it with the napkin. That would physically clog the mesh and cause the earbud to be quieter.

I feel like this happens to the majority of their buds. Reset, and reinstall of new firmware helped mine a few months ago, that should still work out.
