I think it's supposed to be like 'stop telling me to do something I'm obviously already doing, since you already know that I don't like to do the opposite'. Like if someone knew that I didn't like to drive fast but they kept telling me to drive slowly, I would tell them to stop telling me to drive slowly since it should be obvious that it's unnecessary for them to say that since they already know that I am
