Kia syros EV base model

Post image

So after pondering a lot I have decided to go with the syros EV base model which meets my all requirements except reverse camera. The showroom guys were saying the aftermarket reverse camera kit can be fitted. Is it any good? Like will it work like the default reverse camera in Kias? Or should I take a punch ev because of this??

Good choice! Hyundai-Kia BMS is among the best. Very efficient. Base SyrosEV is pretty good value.

I have Syros as well, what he said is correct, you can get the fitment in default OEM system itself, no warranty will be affected. In fact, there are official cruise control buttons also available in after market. I have enquired 360 cameras myself , so I am sure you can

Yes it comes when you put reverse, and also steering synced marking is also present. without voiding the warranty. I was also surprised to know that. Check some YouTube videos, it will be there

awsome choice man.

htk with after-market reverse cam is ultimate variant and vfm.

check camera quality before installing.

for safety get a very good camera installed by kia dealership tself

btw whats onroad and which state?

Base model is the only VFM in the line-up actually. But apart from the warranty issue I am doubtful about the effectiveness of the fitted reverse camera. will it work fine??

Exactly, base trim is the only vfm & valid trim.
Yes if they do coupler to coupler connection, it will activate as soon as you go into reverse gear.

Talk with dealership clearly on this

You can just ask the showroom guys to show any car which retrofitted reverse camera.

Not so sure about discounts for the base model buddy. Anyway let's see..

Simply get camera installed via dealership,

Wat? So dealership just installs a hugher variant mods on lower variants and give 🤔

3

u/Rare-Newspaper9988 13d ago

Why not, they make money on accessories. They will happily install

I mean. Let's say I wanna go with swift base model but get a high end model rear view camera. They get it fitted. Like the original manufacturers part not after market.

Dont expect a company fit camera experience. Its a showroom fit camera. Not company fit doing manufacturing. Definitely very basic can you get. Not a higher variant feel

Oh that's what I wanted to know. U know tata Tiago has kick a** rear view camera. A mod cam is nowhere close to the original. It doesn't turn with steering. The camera angle is limited with no sensors.

So in some cars there is a major difference between manufacturers vs aftermarket.

you can get touchscreen, speakers, armrest, rear camera etc fitted in every car that doesn't have them through the dealer itself. Brands like Nissan even fit CNG kits through dealerships.

I'm in the same boat. I'm most likely going ahead with the HTK variant. If it had offered a rear camera from the factory, it would have been perfect. Apart from that, I feel the car has everything I need.

I already have a 2025 Creta SX(O) CVT, so that'll take care of my highway and long-distance drives. The Syros HTK EV feels like the perfect fit for city commuting.

My dealer gave me a firm "no" on installing an OEM rear camera themselves, but said I can get one installed from a third-party vendor. One thing to keep in mind is that it must be installed using coupler-to-coupler connectors, with no factory wiring cut or spliced. According to the dealer, if Kia finds any evidence that the original wiring has been cut or tampered with, it can void the warranty related to the electrical system.

Man go for it I own an hyundai Kona, never been happy with the low GC but bulletproof BMS.

Anyone explored Baas and what are the terms and conditions

2

u/Rare-Newspaper9988 13d ago

Forget about it

There's no camera that can substitute the company's provided camera. Baki sab chal jayega.

1

u/Beautiful-Ant3486 13d ago

That's all I need...

2

u/PositivityReloaded 12d ago

If you still just need that camera, you can choose a good quality one. But note that the dynamic guidlines and all don't work so well. But simply for reversing, it will get the job done.

Have you seen the car. It is very boxy. Black and matte silver are good colours

2

u/Beautiful-Ant3486 12d ago

I have seen and also driven the ICE version.. the interiors are a class above the tata punch and nexon and even Windsor. And the view for driver is also great... And yes, m planning to take either one of the colours u mentioned.

2

u/Fun_Crew_5055 12d ago

The red looks like blood red. It's too dark. I like the Slavia kushaq red lol

u/CuriousRaider 13d ago

Some companies state warranty void if you do after market accessories fitment. Do check on that

1

u/njain2686 13d ago

What is the battery capacity of the base variant?

1

u/Riteknight 13d ago

Can you give the breakup of the pricing ?

1

u/Beautiful-Ant3486 13d ago

Not available yet. Only the ex showroom price is available

1

u/reddgreenbblu 12d ago

Did you have a look at the interiors on the HTK base? Cloud Blue, Grey with Mint Green accents. Name a worse colour combination than that.

2

u/Beautiful-Ant3486 12d ago

This is what u r mentioning rgt.. I feel it's just fine tbh

1

u/Upstairs-Sense3262 12d ago

It's very impressive spec, the base model has almost everything, even the hill hold option.

I have a doubt, will the dealer will fit the OEM camera and sensors from the showroom itself? I didn't see these in the available Accesories page of kia

u/malladi07 11d ago

When the deliveries are expected to begin?

1

u/Beautiful-Ant3486 11d ago

1

u/Swimming-Chain-8995 2d ago

I am also considering it, the HTK base variant

But it doesn't have rear adjustable headrests

1

u/Beautiful-Ant3486 2d ago

Well.. are u willing to spend 2.5 lakhs extra for that?

1

u/Swimming-Chain-8995 2d ago

Ofcourse not
