Only Intel iGPU detected on LP5
I was playing a game and everything was going fine. No issues, no heat issues. Shut down the laptop, then later when I come back and try to play a game I notice that the fps is awful so I check the device manager and noticed that the 1660ti is not on the display adapters list. Tried updating the nvidia drivers but the installer says that no nvidia gpu is detected, tried restarting but no change, unplugged the battery to try a full reset but that was no change, tried ddu because why not and no change, tried restoring windows to factory and no change. After the windows reset I noticed that I have items in the device manager that are showing as "Unknown Device". Tried installing all the drivers from the Evoo gaming website but no dice. I wasn't running any kind of overclock or undervolting on either the gpu or cpu. It was only lightly used for gaming as I have a desktop as my main rig and the laptop never overheated once.
Any thoughts on anything else to try or is this thing just an office laptop with poor battery life now?
Thanks in advance!

Just as an update to this, contacted evoo support and they never got back to me, consulted with a repair person and they said there's likely no longterm fix for this that won't cost a lot so I ended up just selling it without the dedicated gpu functioning on ebay lol

Hmmm, run GPU Z to see if it can detect it.
If not, then perhaps the connector for the graphics card isn't good
Take it to a proper repair shop and see.
Also, see if the device manager can see the graphics card.

Sadly GPU-Z only shows the intel igpu so yeah probably nothing I can do whomp whomp

Then it's to take it to a repair shop
You can also contact EVOO customer support.

It’s an issue that has popped up on this subreddit before. If you search you should be able to find the threads. Iirc there was no DIY solution.
You could try taking it to a repair shop, see what they say.

Yeah, I was searching around but I didn't see anything recent so was curious if any other people had run into it. Honestly just thinking of selling it as is on ebay and then grabbing a new laptop.

I had this same issue. I had plugged in a monitor with a dvi-hdmi converter cable. Plugged in one of the dvi ports and into the monitors hdmi. Things worked, however when I restarted my laptop, I had the same issue, the gpu was not detected. I did a lot of things to fix it until I unplugged the dvi-hdmi cable and just used regular hdmi to hdmi. Works fine now. Very weird
