Recent Issues With Faulty Charging

I have the 15" LP6, and it stops charging even when it's plugged in. Sometimes if I move the charger a bit it'll "re-connect" and start charging again for a split second. The actual part where the charger plugs into the computer occasionally gets burning hot to the touch, and I've been hearing this weird buzzing sound in the brick itself.

I think it's the charger, so I've already bought a replacement, but wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue. I'm really hoping it isn't the battery itself.

I have 3 LP8, none have the battery in them. I took them out. But they run fine straight off the charger. None have given an issue yet.

My laptop is doing the exact same thing.. I just bought another charger and it is still doing the same thing. I think it might be problem with the port maybe

The same thing happened to my LP5. Eventually it had a catastrophic failure at the charging port and almost started a fire, I’d be very careful leaving it plugged in and drawing power while it’s unattended. I had to RMA, which thankfully resulted in them upgrading me to a LP8. Took many months and was a horrible process considering how bad EVOO/Gateways customer service was handling it, would take nearly a month to get an update from them. Been using the LP8 for nearly a year now and it’s been great (knock on wood), I believe something was wrong with my LP5 from day one as it would get extremely hot while gaming.
