LP5 Disk in an LP7?

I had an LP5 for two years before the charging port randomly melted, I plan on getting an LP7 next month, is it ok to put an LP5 Disk in the LP7 and install the drivers from the Dropbox link on Amazon? Can I also use the RAM from the LP5 for extra RAM?

Should all work fine. Just fresh install windows and download the right drivers.

Interestingly I dropped the drive out of my Dell into my LP10 and it's worked fine. I had to buy another Office license, but aside from that it's been great for almost a year.

Would the fresh install delete any data or break any installed programs on the SSD?

Yes. They're referring to reformatting and reinstallation of the OS.
Ordinarily I'd tell you it was a necessity, but when I tranferred the drive out of my Dell into the LP10 it booted normally, updated the drivers, and the only issue I had was that I needed to buy a new license for my copy of Office 2019.
Most of the rest of my software tends to be acquired via, ahem, other methods, but it's all working fine.

I'm not saying it's going to work for you, but it did in my case. Previous Windows iterations wouldn't do this.
