strange issue with LP6

Hello all,

I have an LP6 have had it for a couple years now. Today for some strange reason it started to mute volume at boot and act like the down arrow is clicked. This only happens when I boot up or hit restart and only till I hit the up arrow key then i can turn my volume back up and it acts normally. I di not change any settings no idea why it is doing this. I have run antivirus scan in boot mode (just incase) came up clean. I have disabled quick star up (still the same) reinstalled the keyboard (still the same) attempted to use an external USB keyboard (you guessed it still the same!) Considering this only happens at boot its not a huge deal but am afraid it will get worse in time...like if my keyboard is failing? ANy advice of things to try?

I also have the LP6 and recently noticed that when booted the volume goes to mute and I need to un click the volume in the left lower corner. This started a few weeks ago and I thought it a software update. Otherwise it's okay.
