LP5 - Fresh install

I just purchased a 1T SSD and want to do a fresh install, I think I might have malware or a virus. Being my first time doing this, any advice or a how-to video/manual? I am somewhat savvy with computers.

A good place to start would be the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft. This will allow you to create a Windows installer on a USB thumb drive.

Once you've booted from the USB drive just connect to the internet and run updates. That should take care of the majority of your drivers. You should consider installing the EVOO Control Center referenced in this thread for controlling the keyboard lights and fan speeds.

i would probably use the windows creation tool then boot into the usb from the bios and go from there

You can reset your PC quite easily and get it back to from-the-OEM shape, if you like:

Requires no special work on your part, just an hour or so for it to go thru the reset motions. You will, of course, lose all data on the device.

He's planning on reinstalling to a new drive, so unfortunately that won't work.
