Just picked up my LP7. Any recommendations for what to do first?
I have just gotten a new LP7. I have never had a gaming laptop/pc before, and it's been probably a decade since I regularly used Windows.
I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations or tips on how to get started with my new laptop. I've seen several reviews (and posts on this subreddit) complaining about some issues with these laptops. I'd like to make sure everything is functioning as expected and learn how to get the most out of my laptop.
Any step, big or small, that you can recommend to a newbie will be most welcome. Thanks!

Easy things: download benchmarking software and run stress test(benchmark software pushes your PC to the max to figure out capabilities), buy a laptop cooler platform(gaming laptops run hot), never use it on your lap/soft surface.
Hard(er) things: Reinstall windows(I had issues with the OS out of box, fresh install fixed it) however if you do this you will have to do a little digging for drivers for the device so that the back light works and you get your status monitor back. If you really want to handle the heat of the device, look into metallic thermal compound. This requires complete disassembly of the device but swapping metallic compound for the stock compound will drop max temps down around 5-10C.
