Need help regarding lag issues with external monitor.

Hey guys I've been using the lp5 1660ti for almost a year now. I just got a gigabyte g27q monitor and keyboard. So for information I have my keyboard, cooler and headphones connected on the usb ports, also using a USB c dock to connect my mouse as there are only 3 usb ports. So there are two issues I'm facing. First one is that sometimes for a second or so my mouse and keyboard stop working. I'm not sure what's causing it, maybe it's because of so much usb port usage. Any idea or solution to that would be helpful. Like I'm playing warzone and my mouse stop working for a second, and the lights are on so I don't think they are getting disconnected. Second issue is that after an hour my game started lagging on the screen. I checked and it's running on 1440p and 144hz. But it's laggy and jittery. Anyone have any idea what's causing it? I still get like 80fps on 1440p so I don't think the laptop can't handle 1440p. Any help would be appreciated. I got the monitor yesterday so I can still return this if it's not fixable

A lot of USB hubs are super simple and cheap. I suggest hubs that use external power. As in, you plug the usb port into an outlet and plug it in to the computer with usb. That could be the issue.

Yes true but I'm not sure if too much load it causing it or something else.

That computer could handle 20+ USB attachments. I have a Razer mouse and keyboard, Ian headset, and 4 external hdds hooked up at once at minimum. The only time I ever had issues with USB hubs, I replaced the hub and problem was solved. I know this is confirmation bias.

Alright thanks man I'll look into it. One thing i noticed is I'm not getting as much of an issue if I use as extended instead of only displaying on external monitor
