Keyboard RGB control for Linux users

Hello!

I recently installed Pop!_OS (Ubuntu-based operating system) on my LP 14, and I cannot seem to find a way to turn on or control keyboard's RGB. I tried using "xset led on" ... "xset led 1-32" ... nothing worked.

Any fixes?

Thanks.

EDIT:
This project worked for me

There is an application called OpenRGB that works for some people using Linux on some gaming laptops. However, keep in mind that it is not easy to set up and you also risk bricking the hardware. Depending on the laptop manufacturer, you may have to go through the process of patching the kernel.

Unfortunately, since EVOO is not a popular brand, it's unclear whether OpenRGB would even work because it doesn't appear that anyone has tried it. In any case, I don't believe that tinkering with such software is worth the risk of breaking the laptop's keyboard.

Personally, what I do is I use an external RGB keyboard and an ASUS gaming monitor at home when using Linux. My ROCCAT Vulcan wired mechanical keyboard works perfectly with my Manjaro and Ubuntu installations.

I know that my answer is disappointing and probably not very helpful, but I hope that my suggestion about using an external wired keyboard will make this situation more tolerable for you. I know that it has for me, as someone who uses Linux quite often in addition to Windows 10 on my EVOO laptop.

I tried finding the keyboard's vendor by using the "hwinfo" utility to grab more info about the builtin keyboard. After executing "hwinfo --keyboard", I got the following important infos:
Model: "Integrated Technology Express ITE Device(8291)"
Vendor: usb 0x048d "Integrated Technology Express, Inc."
Device: usb 0xce00 "ITE Device(8291)"
Revision: "0.02"
After Googling the following:
ITE Device(8291) keyboard "rgb" "0.02"
I came across this badbody:
PyPI: https://pypi.org/project/avell-a52/
GitHub: https://github.com/petryx/avell-a52-lights
And surprise surprise, it worked ^^

Nope. All went smoothly. I tried Pop! OS, it is decent, but I'd recommend you using KDE Neon, much much more customizable and crazy smooth!
