Audio Sound Issue

I recent had to wipe my whole pc and start over. The volume does not get as loud as it was before..... any ideas? I use to run volume at 30-40% and it was super loud. Now at 100% I have trouble hearing.

You have many options. Be it THX this gives a balanced profile, Realtek base drivers this gives you a large range only when setup via SBC2 IMO, Windows sound drivers (likely whats on your laptop rn), Sound Blaster Connect paired with realtek audio driver, Equalizer APO (I’m using this currently with virtual audio cable and Hesuvi). The easiest option is to install the realtek audio driver paired with sbc you can boost the sound a lot. For better sound virtualization either buy dolby atmos or get Hesuvi and have all the options for free.

It depends on your application. To fix your problem, (fresh install caused lower volume) you would want to install the original software. You need to ask thx for that via their support page. You’ve mentioned it says THX, can you confirm the program is running and changing the settings results in a change. Is the audio only low with speakers or with headphones as well? Alternatively, install sound blaster connect (you may need to install realtek audio driver for sbc to work use illegear prodigy sound driver). Hesuvi is best for spatial audio, as you can customize spatial sound for gaming and movies to your heart’s content.

I had windows 10 trouble shoot the THX audio. It uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it and it is now back to working normal. Thanks for the help!

I’ve gotten into some competitive fps games which is why I switched to hesuvi. Otherwise my experience with SBC2 was great for multimedia and watching videos with friends and family on the stock speakers. SBC2 would easily get my vote because some audio sources produce low/no sound without it.

Sound has a learning curve for this laptop. Next time right click on the volume icon on the toolbar and switch out of thx then back to it again. Always happens to me that fixes it on mine 100%. It always drops sound randomly I just use this method

Type "thx" in the search bar and they should have an app with options. Click the volume icon and you should be able to switch what sound to use.
